Robbie is 2 1/2

Robbie is now 2 1/2 years old and has been very busy. Every single day Robbie continues to accomplish more and more. He continues with Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Aquatic Therapy and we have added Speech Therapy into his weekly routine. Robbie has pushed very hard and gives his best in all of his therapies. He is now not only walking but running all around. He can now walk up and down the stairs on his own and is able to climb. He continues to wear all of his supportive braces to help with stability and strength. Robbie celebrated his second birthday within a BBQ at home with his family. He was recently the Ring Bearer in his Uncle Brian and Aunt Natalie's wedding and he did such a great job walking down the aisle. The family was emotional watching him walk down the aisle seeing as though they were told he may never even walk.

On September 7th Robbie has his visit with his Neurologist and it was a very special day for Robbie! As always the doctor looked at him and told him that he is truly a miracle baby and that he surprises her each and every time she sees him.

She explained that although his last EEG results were not exactly what we wanted to see, she is hopeful that the brain will continue to heal. There are spikes still showing in the left hemisphere which is where language comes from. This explains why Robbie's biggest delay has been in speech, but again she is hopeful that he will continue to move forward. Overall, she is extremely happy with how Robbie has progressed and since he hasn't showed any signs of seizures, she has decided to take Robbie off of his LAST seizure medicine.

It is hard to believe that in two weeks he will be medicine free and is doing so many things we were told he would not do. He truly is a superhero and we are all so proud of how far he has come.

Keep fighting little man!
